Seasons has earned high remarks!

I would especially like to recommend visiting on a weekend. And while I’ve eaten there many times, I was also fortunate enough to enjoy the buffet on Valentine’s Day, Saturday February 14th, 2009. Lamb! Prime Rib! Crab legs! All perfectly prepared and fresh! As with any buffet, requesting a thick rare cut of prime rib usually doesn’t mean a thick, rare cut. The serving size I did receive was rather nice, however. The Au Jus had a great flavor, lending its saltiness well to the meat. The lamb was very tasty, not over seasoned as is often the case. I usually avoid the mint jelly but this time I divulged. Hey, it’s tradition! The crab was worth the wait. Hunger and interest piqued, a line of patrons watched as plateful after heaping plateful of steaming crab legs was passed out to anyone who asked. The seafood section was very well stocked with shrimp for cocktails, coconut battered shrimp (also fantastic) chilled crab legs, a variety of baked fishes and Italian seafood dishes. The Salad bar was respectable, with fresh tasty soups to compliment a well concocted salad of your choosing, as well as fresh melons and other fruits. Pasta! Definitely worthy of mention, the section was constantly replenished with the freshest of dishes, straight from the oven. And while the chicken parmesan has a great flavor, the breast was rather dry. This is true for any buffet, more than likely due to a food poisoning risk; if it’s dry it’s been cooked long enough to kill any salmonella. I must comment on the manicotti! Fantastic! Very flavorful and fresh, a master chef was definitely responsible for this dish. Seasons also has a pizza oven, with chefs preparing and baking throughout the day. The Asian cuisine is okay. It deserves mention simply for being in the line-up, but it’s not extraordinary. The usual dishes are available, chicken soup, wontons etc. I was not impressed with the crab rangoon; It should be called ‘fried wonton with a speck of cream cheese and a whisper of crab.’ However, the BBQ station is deserving of mention. It includes pulled pork, a turkey carving station as well as tasty ribs with meat that fall off the bone. Finally DESSERT! Wow! With everything from a sugar-free section to cakes, pies, torts and gelato, Seasons has the perfect finish to an excellent meal. All of their desserts are fresh and flavorful. I can’t imagine what they’re called, but I was fortunate enough to procure a few truffle things. One of which had a thin layer of cake on the outside, but a melty chocolaty inside. On one trip there were white chocolate ones, on the other, milk chocolate. Absolutely fantastic treats for your taste buds!

Bottom Line: I highly recommend Seasons for its value, quality and atmosphere. Since you’re going to be gambling anyway, I would also encourage you to obtain a player’s card, as a Silver Member you’ll get a free meal with a paid buffet, any time of day.
