Best and Worst Buffets

How refreshing! Service with a SMILE!! The first thing we noticed about Cici's was the overwhelmingly generous welcome from the managment and staff. I was exceedingly impressed with the dedication of the team to each customer, and each other. The restaurant is perfect for an outing wih the kids, complete with an arcade and fantastic creations geared towads pizza loving kids.

We were delighted to enjoy a meal of a different color; macaroni and cheese pizza, deep dish buffalo chicken pizza, alfredo and spinach among other unique creations. An endless supply of sticky buns kept Denny occupied while I marveled at the empty arcade. Drew, 11, shared some sentiments with us, "It's a fun place for kids." I was surprised to see that the kids were generally too busy with their meals to even bother with the arcade.

Denny:  So here's the deal.  I grew up near Chicago, and Chicago style deep-dish.  I also grew up eating pizza at least once a week (it continues to be one of my favorite meals today.)  That being said, I think I know a thing or two about not only different types of pizza, but also quality of pizza.  Now, lets get to Cici's.  Was it good?  Absolutely.  Was it a good value?  Definitely.  Was it the best pizza in the world?  Not even close.  However, when you take into consideration ALL the criteria (price, quality, service, and atmosphere)  I will not only recommend Cici's, but also go back myself!  At best, the pizza on the buffet line was O.K., but when I ordered one made the way like it (which is included in the price of the buffet), it jumped up to good.  The pasta was pretty 'middle-of-the-road' as well.  The salad was great! BUT,, to top it off, the cinnamon rolls were DYNE-O-MITE!!!!!  I still can't believe how good these things were!!  I think I ate 5 or 6 plates full of em'; enough to make myself physically ill!!!  Here's the crazy part about Cici's:  while it was kid oriented, and there were quite a few in there, they've created an atmosphere that seems to hypnotize them.  Let me explain:  Chuck-E-Cheeze= yelling,screaming, nose pickers running around your table the whole time your there. Cici's = lots of kids, little noise, and no running around!  I don't know if it's the color scheme, or just the set-up, but I was impressed!!!  To sum it up, this place is great!  At $7.50 a person (drink and tax included),  your not going to find anywhere else willing to 'make-to-order' a pizza for you, much less give you a Coke and awesome dessert to go along with it!

Bottom Line: Excellent place to take the kids out, cheap, good and fun! 

*We've taken the targeted audience of Cici's Pizza into consideration while judging them. Cici's excells at family/kid dining, but we wouldn't recommend them for your 25th anniversary :)
